Jannet is a dedicated and compassionate registered mental health nurse with extensive experience in adult acute care, high-dependency units, and forensic mental health services. Her expertise spans working with individuals with enduring mental illness, borderline personality disorders, dual diagnoses, and complex needs (including learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders).
With strong leadership, supervision, and time-management skills, Jannet excels in both clinical and administrative roles. She is a skilled communicator and motivator, capable of working independently while fostering collaborative, multidisciplinary care.

- Specialisations in risk assessment, care planning, safeguarding, and recovery-focused interventions
- Proficient in mental health legislation, clinical governance, and patient advocacy
Angela is a dedicated mental health specialist and clinical leader whose expertise is deeply rooted in frontline service. As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (BSc Hons), DBT Therapist, and Student Mentor she brings over a decade of multifaceted experience from high-acuity settings across Bristol and beyond. Her career includes full-time service at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke and agency roles spanning CAMHS, Forensic Units, PICUs (Psychiatric Intensive Care Units), and Acute wards—equipping her with rare insight into complex mental health needs across diverse populations.
Professionally, Angela is celebrated for her rigorous clinical skills, adaptive leadership, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. Colleagues describe her as a natural collaborator—equally effective as a team leader and team player—who champions open communication, strategic organisation, and compassionate advocacy in high-pressure environments.
As a trustee, Angela leverages her operational expertise to strengthen governance, risk management, and service design. Her firsthand understanding of systemic challenges in mental healthcare fuels her passion for creating sustainable, inclusive solutions. She embodies the values she practices: conscientious, self-motivated, and relentlessly curious, with a proven ability to balance critical analysis with innovative thinking.
Angela’s drive stems from a core belief: that every individual deserves dignity in care. Her clinical discipline, mentorship ethos, and talent for uniting teams make her an invaluable asset in advancing the charity's mission!
Philip Mugambiwa brings a lifetime of dedication, resilience, and community spirit to his role as Trustee. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Philip understands the realities and strengths of local communities firsthand. As one of six siblings, family and collective well-being have always been central to his values, deeply shaping his commitment to service.
Philip’s professional life reflects steadfast reliability and responsibility. For over three decades (1990–2021), he served the people of Zimbabwe as a Train Driver with the National Railways of Zimbabwe. This demanding role honed his focus, discipline, and unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence—skills he now applies to governance and strategic oversight within the charity.
Since retiring in 2021, Philip has channelled his energy and experience into meaningful charity work. Motivated by personal loss and a profound desire to uplift others, he is passionate about creating opportunities and providing support where it’s needed most. He understands the importance of sustainable impact and brings grounded, practical wisdom to the Board of Trustees.
Philip is a devoted family man, married with two sons. His lived experiences, deep roots in Zimbabwe, and compassionate perspective make him an invaluable advocate for the charity’s mission. He is determined to leverage his position to foster positive change and empower communities across the nation.
